Copywriting and Editing Services

Content is king. Great content, that is.

Whether you realize it or not, communication is at the heart of everything your company or organization does. How you interact with customers, with colleagues, with your community, there’s always a communication component.

More than two decades of copywriting and editing

Goulet Communications has more than 20 years of copywriting and editing service experience, including nearly a decade in daily newspaper journalism.

We are sticklers for proper spelling and grammar, usage and style. Our hallmarks are fairness and accuracy, whether in a 140-character tweet, a five-paragraph news release, or an eight-page newsletter.

We are economical with words (don’t you try to be straight to the point with your customers and audiences?) and infuse what we write with grace, humor and humility.

Don’t let your yarn unravel

What you say and how you say it makes all the difference. But too often, communication is sorely lacking or poorly executed.

We see examples all the time of companies and organizations not putting their best faces forward. They might offer great products or services, but then those same high standards unravel when it comes to telling their stories.

It might be a news release that lacks focus, a proposal that is rife with spelling errors, or a newsletter that’s just not very interesting. Taking shortcuts with writing and editing will undermine your story and your credibility in telling it.

We’ll help you spell it out

We always tell our clients that they know their businesses far better than we do. However, knowing your business and being able to articulate it to a larger audience can be two totally different things.

We enjoy bridging that gap. It is a great source of pride when a company owner sends us a draft of his newsletter column with a note: “It’s rough, but I know you’ll smooth it out!”

Suffice it to say that if you struggle with spelling out your story or spelling itself, or with when to use “its” or “it’s,” or if you think that writing random words in capital letters makes them more important, then we are here to help.
