October is National Bullying Prevention Month.

Deborah Wilson Gadsden, a training specialist with Family Design Resources, is a certified trainer and consultant for the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program (for schools) and a graduate of the Workplace Bullying University (for professionals).

In November, she will be a presenter at the International Bullying Prevention Association’s conference in San Diego.

While federal government statistics indicate that approximately 28 percent of children ages 12 to 18 have been bullied at school, workplace bullying takes place at a similar rate, according to the Workplace Bullying Institute’s recently released 2014 U.S. Workplace Bullying Survey. Another 21 percent of workers have witnessed bullying on the job.

To arrange an interview with Gadsden, please contact Neal Goulet at 717-350-1568.

Harrisburg-based Family Design Resources (www.familydesign.org) works with child- and family-serving agencies and professionals who support children and families throughout Pennsylvania.
