MIDDLETOWN, Pa. (April 3, 2014) – Phillips Office Solutions has been recognized for reducing energy use at its Fulling Mill Road headquarters.
Phillips last year installed higher-efficiency exterior lighting fixtures, including those that illuminate its building façade, parking lot and flag pole.
Phillips will recoup its $15,000 investment in fewer than four years – and will reduce its energy demand by 35,000 kilowatt-hours each year.
As a result, PPL Electric Utilities Corp. named Phillips to its E-power Energy-Smart Business Honor Roll.
Greg Dudkin, president of PPL, recognized Phillips’ achievement in a letter, which concluded with these words:
“Being energy-efficient not only has positive implications for your bottom line and operating margins, it also demonstrates the kind of awareness and commitment that will lead our communities to better energy and environmental practices.”
