Drayer Physical Therapy Institute’s 15th Alabama center opens in Athens

HUMMELSTOWN, Pa. (June 30, 2014) – Drayer Physical Therapy Institute has opened an outpatient physical therapy center in Athens, Ala., its 15th in the state.

The new center, at 22292 U.S. Highway 72, is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and by appointment on Saturday. It can be reached at 256-233-2313.

The center’s specialties are manual therapy, orthopedics, sports medicine, pre- and post-operative rehabilitation, shoulder rehabilitation, and wellness.

Physical therapist Ashley Walker, who has six years of outpatient orthopedic physical therapy experience, is the center manager. Her colleague Kevin Steen, physical therapy assistant, has been treating patients in the Athens area for 15 years. Tracy Causey is the center’s regional vice president.

Overall, Hummelstown, Pa.-based Drayer owns or manages more than 100 centers in the eastern United States.
